Hi there. Thanks for poking around my site. I am an English Instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University. I still flutter with excitement before each class I teach. Before that I taught bright, rascally misfits at Nonesuch School for six years and was a food writer for the Bay Area alt-weekly The Bohemian. What else? I consider myself a traveler even though I don’t do much of it these days (kids have slowed me way down). I am lucky enough to have traveled to over 25 countries, including Turkey, Cuba, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Japan, Peru, Laos, Iceland, Panama, and much of Europe. When I’m not tinkering with a new piece of writing, I’m working on my warrior pose, cleaning out my desk drawers, baking something (usually involving dates and coconut flour), or taking a long walk with my two daughters and my beloved, musically-talented, sociologically-minded and super duper goofy husband. Oh, and I can play “Groovy Kind of Love” on the piano.
